Christopher “Chris” Mark Leverenz was the son of Richard Arnold Leverenz and Audrey Elaine Leverenz, both Michigan natives. He graduated from Wayne Memorial High School in 1978 and was the only student to win the state championship for wrestling while at Wayne Memorial for his weight class of 178. He also excelled at varsity football, track and basketball. He was a die-hard sports fan and loved to watch all sports. He was also a dedicated and loving son. He was given the gift of his three children; Katy, Kristy and Chris Leverenz Jr. He was also blessed with three grandchildren; Aiden, Addyson and Evelyn Pickell. Chris was a distinguished combat infantryman in the U.S Army and was honorably discharged after four years, then worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 26 years. His father, Richard Arnold Leverenz and his brother Patrick Leverenz preceded Chris in death. He leaves to cherish and honor his memories by his devoted family and his adoring siblings; Richard Bradley (Darlene), Pamela Neuman (Mike), Edward Leverenz (Michelle), Deanna Gibbons (Robert), Jennifer Meyer (Keith) and his beloved mother Audrey Leverenz along with a host of many nieces and nephews.
